The activation system allows your protected application to work with "activation codes". An activation code is not a license key, it can be seen as a "bridge" that will finally create a license locked to your customer's PC. This has the advantage of simplifying the registration process when you are working with licenses locked to a customer's PC. It also adds some advantages like allowing your customers to move their licenses to a different machine, control how many times your customer has installed your application, invalidate licenses, etc.

 

The generation of an activation code can be performed manually (from the "License Manager" in WinLicense) or automatically (using the SDK provided by your payment processor and link it with the shipped PHP files).
